Looking Ahead

Now that we’re almost finished with 2020, many of us are looking ahead. If 2020 has taught us anything it’s that things can change in an instant! We all hope that 2021 will be brighter and safer. Here are the two things that I’m looking forward to the most for 2021, at least at Walt Disney World.

I’ll start with the one ride that is closest to completion. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming to the France Pavilion in Epcot. The ride is almost done, if it isn’t finished already. You’ll shrink down to Remy’s size and see the world (or at least Gusteau’s) from his point of view. The ride vehicles alone are worth a visit! The thrill level isn’t high for this family friendly ride, but the cute level will make up for it. No opening date has been given, but if COVID-19 hadn’t hit Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure would already be open.

The other thing that we know is going to happen is Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. The official date is October 1. We have no idea what type of celebration is planned because so much is up in the air right now, but we do know that even COVID-19 can’t stop the date from arriving! There’s something special about being in one of the theme parks on its anniversary, and visiting the Magic Kingdom on such a big one will indeed be golden, pun intended. I expect we’ll hear more about what Disney has planned in three or four months. I’ll pass that information on as soon as I have it.
