Some people are surprised when there is no availability showing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on a “normal” day. I believe that I know why. The park often opens first of the four. That makes it the perfect first stop for Park Hopping, especially if you want to attempt the Four Park Challenge. I’m sure that […]

One thing that I have enjoyed immensely since Walt Disney World reopened is the Character Cavalcades. I can see some of my favorite characters, and there isn’t a lot of waiting around like during a normal parade. It has been a great solution to the character problem, since normal meet and greets are not a […]

If you follow Disney Over 50 on Facebook or Instagram, you might have seen my recent excitement when my daughter and I were at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Avatar Flight of Passage had a ten minute wait. The ride is amazing, but since I’m local I often skip it if the wait is too long. […]

Two years ago during the holidays I spent a few days talking about my favorite things about the holidays around Walt Disney World. My list would have been the same for 2019. The exception would be Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because they didn’t do Christmas right until 2019. The 2020 Christmas season looks quite different than […]

Yesterday I told you that a modified version of Park Hopper is going to return to Walt Disney World on January 1, 2021. This is indeed good news, and one step closer to “normal”. The problem is that the post from Disney Parks Blog was a bit vague on how things will work. It has […]

If you plan to head to Walt Disney World this holiday season, I have some advice for picking your Disney’s Animal Kingdom day. Check the hours before making your Disney Park Pass reservation. Of course you should always check the hours anyway, but there’s a specific reason at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season. There’s […]

Changes for the Holidays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you read what I wrote last year at this time, you know how much I loved Merry Menagerie at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The puppets based on winter animals were adorable, and the puppeteers were all so skilled! It was easy to suspend disbelief and interact with the animals as if they were real. Sadly, […]
