Fall and Halloween News!

We’ll soon see these again!

We were all sad when Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was canceled this year. That doesn’t mean that we can’t still enjoy the season at the Magic Kingdom! People have wondered for weeks when and if the decorations would go up. We now have an answer, but it’s more than just the decorations.

As far as the decor is concerned, you will be able to enjoy it on Main Street, U.S.A. starting on September 15. It will be up through October 31, which is of course Halloween. There is more good news.

During the same period, there will be a special Halloween-themed Character Cavalcade that will feature Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and possibly others dressed up for Halloween. There could be more costumes in the other cavalcades. Chip ‘n Dale will be in costume as well, only they will be in Frontierland.

Speaking of costumes, grab yours, because during that time period guests of all ages are going to be allowed to wear costumes at the Magic Kingdom! You will need to follow the costume guidelines, and remember that costume masks are not allowed. Face masks will still be required, so find something that you can coordinate with your costume.

That is not all the news for the Halloween season. There are special foods that are soon coming to all four theme parks. Most of the foods will be available starting on September 8, but some will be October 31 only. You’ll find treats such as Pumpkin Spiced Waffle Sundae, Scar Cupcake, and Pumpkin Cheesecake Cannoli. There will also be seasonal popcorn buckets and sippers for sale.

I had heard plenty of rumors that stated that the Halloween decorations would go up this year, and others that they wouldn’t. I am glad that it has finally been confirmed by Disney, and that we have an actual date. I look forward to sharing pictures of all of this with you!
