A New Dining Option for Pizzafari

Family-style dining is coming to Pizzafari

Pizzafari in the Discovery Island area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom has long been a popular quick service dining choice. The restaurant features individual sized pizzas. A new option is on the way, which could shake up the way that counter service dinners are served at not only Pizzafari, but perhaps in other popular counter service restaurants as well.

Starting on July 31, Pizzafari Family-Style Dining is going to be offered. You’ll make a reservation ahead of time, and then check in at the podium. Walk-ins could also be available. You will place your drink order there, and then you’ll be seated in a dining room that is specified for this dining experience. You and your party will be brought two appetizers, three entrees, and dessert. These will then be enjoyed family style. Non-alcoholic beverages are included with the meal. The cost will be $19.99 per adult, and $11.99 for children ages three through nine. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it will cost one quick service meal credit.

Pizzafari is not going to replace the counter service option at the restaurant. Those will still be available. Pizzafari Family-Style Dining will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, at least for now. If I hear more information, or if this idea expands to other restaurants, I’ll let you know.
